Hmmm... things has been pretty hectic for the past few days... with the deadline of the magazine looming up... earlier this time cause the magazine printers would be on holiday for the Hari Raya and Deepavali week and everything has to be done by next week... (for us.. we would have to submit the magazine artwork on Monday.. and all i have done is 7 measly page out of 35-odd plus pages.. )
And then there was another issue of childishness.. this time in my office.. .. Check this scenario out.. I'm going to bitch a little, cause i don't feel like miss-goody-two-shoes today..
A couple of days ago.. my boss had decided to give me an additional ad-hoc bonus for my additional services as a graphic designer on top of being a brand strategy consultant. I guess. i sorta saved them the hassle of getting a designer pronto after Sky left.. and maybe for all those late nights at the office working-my-arse-off on the magazine (and eating fast food.. till i got sick of it).
AND then... when this particularly.. how shall i put it.... *smart* 'child' employee ... got a whiff of the bonus... (by squeezing some colleagues for information)... She even had the cheek to call up the accountant to ask/demand/squeeze/pout-till-he-spills on how much I had got.. or whether is everyone getting a bonus.. why me .. why this and why that..
And then when she wasn't satisfied with the answer... she scrunched up her pretty face and sent in her resignation letter.
*shrugs*.. Now.. isn't that a case of mega-childishness?
Hmm... let's just put it this way...
If you feel that you are working hard... and that you are not being rewarded well enough... you gotta find a way to make all those efforts be in full view of the people paying your salary. Heck, you just gotta meet their demands and just... do your god damned best.
If all else fails... then.. chicken out. No one is going to think less of you.

And anyway...

Aiyoh woman.....Perhaps it was your hard work that's why they gave you the bonus. But what i've heard from the rest of them was that Jason & Pat mentioned that you needed financial helping for your mum side so they sorta gave you an extra for "welfare" or something like that.
And the childish kid you were mentioning about left because of how Wai Leng is treating her ambassadors la......not because of your "bonus". She had sent in her resignation letter few days before you got it. So dont la simply say her. Gotta ask properly first.
Wai Leng got a bonus too. Was she in a financial crisis too? Hmm....i tot she had a blardi rich sugar daddy. Hmmm i wonder.
But like what you've said, you dont give a damn. so why bother, yeah? Hehehehe
ohh... like dat issit... wat to do.. i don't really korek information that detailed wan ler...i got better things to do yarrr.. heheheh. *hugs*. but thanks. at least things look a bit clearer now.
