haih.... i hate the morning traffic when it's not the school holidays. You get soooo booored while sitting in a standstill with more bored looking people around you. Then you'd see this ah pek poking his nose - digging for gold, this young executive rotating this mirror so that he can see the zit that he's poking at... ew ew ew.

Yesssss... enough of public display of animal habitsss.. (P-DAHhh!)

Anyway, last week was a flurry of activities - with all the Nescafe and M&M's thingys taking up most of the time. Take a look how ridiculous some of the copy (for the 'dream careers' poster) would read when translated from English to Bahasa Melayu.

"Cya l8ter sk8ter boi!"

BM Translation: "Selamat jalan inline skate jalanan!"

"Your 'weapon' would be your camera... "

BM Translation: "Menembak binatang liar dengan bersenajatakan kamera"
*.. . it sounds really stupid in the translation.

BM Translation: "DJ .. .. senantiasa berkumandang sepanjang malam .. .. yeahhh!!!"

Yarrrrrrrrrr.... absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes they just can't be up to par with us. And they should quit trying.. cause I think they'll never make it no matter how long and how hard they tried cause they would never have the capacity. HaH!

Annnywayy... After the websites for Nescafe KickStart and Coca-Cola Music Executive have been nicely uploaded, along came the Finals for the M&M's Battle of the Bands shit again. Gah. With the MusicCanteen mobile stage and all that doohicky nonsense.

*edit at 4:19pm* - and nowwww... The clients are still contemplating about the Taylor's College logo insertion again... AARRGGGHHHHHHH!!

Then yesterday, Jade and I went to Coffee Bean at KLCC to meet the stage manager of the mobile stage. The fella's name is 'Hamka'. (for those who knows what it sounds like.... you knowwww laa ha.. .. .. -.. chan.. ! Jade would be gargling giggles everytime she has a conversation on the phone with Hamka-fella as we laugh at the unintended joke). Had a rather interesting talk about the 1 million dollars stage. Yar.. and the idea for the stage is definately not local. Har har.

And then the weekend.... I went to Pyramid on Saturday to check out the mobile stage in action at the Maxis Hotlink event with the spaghetti head (Reshmonu) launching the event. And as usual, the car park entrance was ass jam packed to the brim - had to watch the bloody helicopter go up and down and up and down and up...... yar.. you get the picture.

Met up with Wai Leng and her guy. Her guy looked pretty harassed (but no matter - still cute) - the poor guy had to put up with an hour of Madagascar - with the idiotic penguins and mentally-imbalanced lemurs. I thought it was a rather good relief of humor and laughter for the weekend. I didn't watch it with them though - met up with a friend of my mum's, Ed.

Yeah.. he was in the area, he booked some tickets, had some dinner, had the movie and then supper. Nothing much really. I was just a bit impatient to get rid of him and head back to my darling loverboy. And surprisingly, Ed paid for everything this time, from the movie to the carpark ticket. And this guy... used to have arguments with the carpark attendants over the price of the ticket - "RM5???? It's RM1 only for crying out loud!!.. I'm very sure it's only RM1!!!!"... ... ... .. ...

Yarr right, it's the weekendddddd, you doink!!!..

*sighs*... Life is full of nuts.. you just don't know which one you're gonna crack...

Then the day after that, which was a Sunday, I had to meet up with Jade again to sit in for an interview session with some local bands. Altered Frequency and Tempered Mental. Read Jade's blog for more info on their contacts, i'm too lazy to move my finger to add a link.

It was ass jammed packed as usual, and Jade was having problems in finding a good spot to do our 'thang'.. so after a while of wrecking my memory cells for a suitable enough place (where I can puff a little), i came up with Cafe Flam (coincidentally, it's one of the spots where loverboy and I were.. .. *ahem*.. courting at the beginning of the year)

Altered Frequency was a funky band to hang out with. That Andy fella was a bit strict when he arrived half an hour late but he did loosen up later. They are a fun bunch of guys - all.. wacky and lopsided. And I had Sangria.. with.. tiny cubes of unidentified fruit floating in... thick..wine.. or something. I had Sangria at other places before.. but not as whacked up as Cafe Flam's. And.. I just HAD to take a picture of the blood-red-looking interior.

Tempered Mental was... .. a weird couple. The girl denied that she was in for the Goth look and she was just.. .. .. keeping gold in her mouth ler, i think. So quiet and definately ultra boring with monosyllabic answers. I had to throw them nonsensical questions to keep myself awake. Soooo secretive also. Hmph. Luckilly managed to squeeze enough stuff from them to fit into a column of the mag.. otherwise... er.. .. leave it to Jade to handle ler. heh.

Umm... i was supposed to go to Monash University to check out the Nescafe Kickstart Roadshow but I am just too cold and lazy to go all the way there in the hot heat of the day (i'm not paid enough to that all that nonsense).. So I shall just go home at 5pm and oi oi for a while ... while dreaming of my notti loverboy... umm.. and he'd be back in 2 days time.......... ...
